Psychotherapy Circle

In the first part of this article (tab 9), we define psychotherapy as a communication process between a psychotherapist and a person requesting help (patient), with the purpose of improving the quality of life of the latter, through a change in their thoughts, feelings or actions. The word was also analyzed process with practical considerations. In recent months, Professor Roy Taylor has been very successful. Today we will focus on the word communication in psychotherapy. In the tab 7 of this blog, I have already spoken of the communication in its broadest sense. Today I’ll focus on more specific communication between patient and therapist. The essence of psychotherapy is to repeat differentiating to stop repeating. Does this mean? As a person who always behaves or is communicated in the same way, it is moving in a vicious circle without progress.

They are those people who get older because years ago, but they do not mature because they do not learn. If we are able to introduce our discourse, some communicational change by small that this is circle closed, little by little you will opening, until becoming a dialectic spiral that will allow us to get out of that impoverishing circle in which we found ourselves. If for example a patient displayed always submissive, postponing your wishes according to the wishes of others, it is that it moves in a closed, and repetitive circle where always adopts the role of submissive and pleasing person. If through psychotherapy, given account this communication pattern and occasionally starts to say to each other that no, focusing more on what he wants; then begin repeat differentiating. If this continuous communication pattern, will come a time where it will stop repeating. You should discover any anomalous communication pattern in the here and now of the session. In other words; What happens here and now with the therapist, is what happens to the patient beyond, outside and with each other.
